Webinar Summary

The international statistical community has given ESCAP and UN Environment the lead to develop guidance for ocean accounts. The activity will address many of the SDG14 targets (and more), by building on guidance already applied by many countries in the System of Environmental-Economic Account ing (SEEA). The presentation will provide an overview of the SEEA, the objectives of the project and the challenges foreseen. ESCAP is seeking input and participation in a regional workshop planned for Bangkok on 1-3 August, 2018.  Initial guidance will be applied and tested in several countries in the region.
