Ocean Observation and Prediction to support Global Sustainable Fisheries Management
Goals
- to promote the use of Ocean Data to support long-term sustainability of global fisheries and their adaptation to climate change.
- to strengthen collaboration among stakeholders through the GEO Blue Planet Fisheries Working Group platform.
Objectives of the Workshop:
- Promoting the adoption of Ocean Data by regional fisheries bodies
- Supporting the use of Ocean Data in decision-making processes
- Engaging with key stakeholders to identify their needs and blockage points
- Exploring regional workshops to support services co-design and capacity building
