Sargassum Side-event to UNOC3 (Green Zone)

In the backdrop of the UN Ocean Conference 2025 in Nice, GEO Blue Planet organises an event to promote international action on the Sargassum crisis, together with partners including the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS), UNEP Cartagena Convention’s Biodiversity Protocol (SPAW RAC), Trinidad and Tobago’s Institute of Maritime Affairs, Expertise france, ADEME, Mercator Ocean International, the University of South Florida.
Held in the Nice Mama Shelter Hotel on the afternoon of 10 June 2025, the event will welcome about 100 invited participants to discuss the state of the art of knowledge, the integration of all levels from its observation at sea to its valorization and synergies of actions across the region.
