UNDERSTANDING FLOODING ON REEF-LINED ISLAND COASTS WORKSHOP
Coastal flooding is an increasing concern due to sea-level rise, climate change, and ever-growing coastal populations. The issue is particularly challenging along tropical coral reef-lined shorelines due to the complexity of those shorelines. To foster collaboration and assess the state of knowledge of the different factors that control the spatial extent, timing, frequency, and magnitude of coastal flooding along tropical coral reef-lined coasts, experts from around the world will join at Honolulu, Hawaii.
